With a history of knitting that spans just over two decades and a much more recent 6-year span learning printmaking and book arts, I utilize multiple mediums to generate both 2D and 3D artworks. These pieces often utilize humor and the peculiar to study my own obsession with clothing and my privilege of simultaneously denying and performing the feminine. I am interested in the notion that as a woman, performing the feminine increases some hidden societal measure of my worth. Intentional or not, the history of the garment, the domestic, and feminism are intrinsic aspects of my overall reason for artmaking.
